Severe storms knock out power across West Michigan; Consumers Energy stages 450 crews

PLAINWELL, Mich. — Consumers Energy deployed a mobile command center to Plainwell Wednesday morning following the severe weather that swept through West Michigan.

According to the company, crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible to the nearly 60,000 homes and businesses without power.
