NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was booked into Metro jail Tuesday on more than a dozen charges after a car rented from Nashville International Airport was tracked near the U.S.-Mexico border.
According to arrest documents, on Oct. 6, 2025, the rental car company filed a stolen vehicle report with BNA’s police authority, the Department of Public Safety. The report said on Sept. 19, 2025, a man attempting to rent a white GMC Sierra provided the company with a fraudulent driver’s license, but was allowed to leave with the vehicle despite his license being unverifiable.
The GMC was reportedly scheduled to be returned on Oct. 25, 2025, but the company reported it stolen Oct. 6 after it was flagged on a license plate reader near the border in Falfurrias, Texas. The vehicle was not able to be tracked past that point, documents said…
