Disney’s Next Residential Community Is Taking Shape In North Carolina—Here’s Your First Look

Disney is building its second-ever Storyliving by Disney community in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, near Raleigh.

Asteria will be located in Chatham Park, just outside of the Research Triangle. The community has plans for more than 4,000 residential units ranging from single-family homes to sites exclusively for those 55 years and older. Now, Disney is sharing more about the first phase of development for Asteria, which includes a Discovery Studio, model homes, community parks and trails, 300 home sites, plus the cornerstone of the community: the Second Star Club.

What makes Asteria different from other planned communities is the level of detail and a focus on the region’s traditions, which are woven throughout the Second Star Club thanks to Walt Disney Imagineering. Yes, the same creative teams that design and build Disney’s theme parks around the world are now working on a place where you can actually live.
