Texas Tech’s primary recruiting base under head coach Joey McGuire will always be the Lone Star State, but the Red Raiders are starting to pursue and land prospects from out of state at a higher rate. More guys from around the country are visiting Lubbock, including Prentice Mackyeon, a 2027 three-star safety out of John Curtis High School in New Orleans, LA.
He visited Texas Tech on Saturday and detailed his time in Raiderland.
“The visit truly was wonderful,” Mackyeon said. “It was an eye-opening experience from the football side of things to the campus life. The visit consisted of a tour of the facilities, the campus life , and being able to watch players practice.”…
