Authorities release cause of death for man in deputy-involved shooting Sunday

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The cause of death for a man who shot a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Sunday has been released.

Authorities said Brian Huggins, 39, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene of the shooting. The final autopsy report will provide more conclusive evidence, which can take up to 60 days to complete.
