NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A two-alarm fire at a multi-unit residence in the Bywater neighborhood was extinguished Wednesday (April 15) by the New Orleans Fire Department.
The NOFD said 33 firefighters manning 10 units responded to the fire at a camel-backed structure at 2802 St. Claude Ave. All occupants had evacuated the building and no injuries were reported among residents or firefighters, the NOFD said.
The fire was reported at 3:02 p.m. Firefighters arrived at 3:09 p.m. and sounded a second alarm at 3:31 p.m. The fire was brought under control by 3:43 p.m., the department said…
