Ute Indian Tribe releases public notice restricting ATV use on Tribal lands

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Ute Indian Tribe has amended its existing code that governs trespassing on Tribal lands.

The amended code includes a restriction on the operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATV) on Tribal lands without proper authorizations.

The amended code states that any person who operates an all-terrain vehicle on Tribal lands without specific authorization from the Tribal Business Committee, is now considered a trespasser.
