Tucson man sentenced to 14 years for U of A student’s shooting death

TUCSON, Ariz. — A man involved in the deadly shooting of a University of Arizona student back in 2024 has now learned his fate in court.

On April 13, Marcus William was sentenced to 14 years in prison after previously pleading guilty to drive-by shooting and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The shooting happened back in April 2024, at a house party near Country Club and Fifth Street.
