Gospel Star Tina Campbells Husband Files for Divorce After 20 Years

Additional Coverage:

Tina Campbell, best known as one half of the acclaimed gospel and R&B duo Mary Mary alongside her sister Erica Campbell, is reportedly ending her marriage to Glendon Campbell.

The couple, both aged 51, have been married since August 2000. According to recent court documents filed in Los Angeles County on April 13, Glendon has formally initiated divorce proceedings, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. The filing notes that the couple separated earlier this year, in June 2024.

Glendon’s paperwork indicates that they share two minor children. While he did not specify custody arrangements, he requested that the court establish visitation rights. Additionally, he asked that any matters regarding spousal support be addressed at a later stage.

Reports suggest that the divorce may proceed smoothly, as Glendon marked that there are no community or separate property issues to divide. This could imply that Tina and Glendon have reached some form of agreement or are handling negotiations privately. Representatives for Tina have been contacted for comment but have yet to respond.

The couple’s marriage has faced public challenges before. In 2015, Tina openly discussed a significant breach of trust when Glendon was unfaithful. On Steve Harvey’s talk show that year, Tina revealed that the affair was with a former employee who was close to the family, describing the betrayal as particularly painful given the woman’s trusted role.

Tina recounted how she confronted the situation head-on, having Glendon call the woman involved. When the call ended abruptly, Tina realized the truth and admitted the heartbreak it caused her.

She candidly shared how the emotional turmoil led to intense reactions, including damaging property and grappling with deep anger. Ultimately, she expressed a commitment to moving forward in a positive direction.

As the divorce proceedings move forward, it remains to be seen how Tina and Glendon will navigate their new chapter, both as co-parents and as individuals.
