The Marian E. Burch Adult Day Care & Rehabilitation Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, and a department of the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility, located at 1150 E. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek. The center is designed to provide medical services, including socialization and activities to clients 18 years and older who have physical and/or mental disabilities. Rehabilitation services is an option for clients who are enrolled in the Adult Day Care program.
With the number of day care clients increasing, the need for volunteers is greater than ever.
“You pretty much just have to fill out an application,” said Terri Chapman, volunteer coordinator. “If you’re over 18, we do a background check. And once that’s done, you come in, do a little bit more paperwork, and I show you around get you started. It’s that quick.”…
