AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Aiken County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a man who died while in custody of law enforcement.
The coroner’s office has identified the victim as 36-year-old Justin Taylor, of Aiken.
Taylor had been arrested Wednesday night for disorderly conduct and went unresponsive around 7:55 p.m. in the back of the patrol car upon arrival at Aiken County jail, according to authorities.
Officers and emergency medical crews tried to revive him, and he was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Center’s emergency room, where doctors pronounced Taylor dead at 8:36 p.m…
