Another round of showers and possibly strong to severe thunderstorms arrives into the early evening. While we do not expect widespread severe weather, we all get wet and some storms could contain damaging wind, sizable hail and rotation. The highest risk area for seeing stronger storms would be southeast to of Buffalo and through the Rochester area.

Most storms taper by mid to late evening, other than another isolated shower overnight, mostly in the southtowns. We are seasonably cool overnight with fog and drizzle into early Friday morning.

We look to dry out on Friday afternoon with brighter skies and highs only in the 60s…
