Charlotte Customers Could Get Paid in $7.4M Trader Joe’s Settlement

A class action settlement could send payments to customers who made purchases with a credit or debit card between March 5 and July 19, 2019.

The lawsuit claimed the company violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act by printing too many digits of card numbers on receipts, including the first six and last four digits.

Trader Joe’s denied wrongdoing and said no identity theft cases were reported. The company also said only a small number of transactions were affected but chose to settle to avoid lengthy litigation…
