Some beer board members cry foul as Champy’s keeps pouring amid expired permit concerns

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Concerns of potential favoritism are being raised after a popular chain restaurant in our area was allowed to continue serving beer despite violations from the city of Chattanooga’s beer board.

During their Thursday meeting, the beer board brought up concerns about expired permits at the Champy’s locations on MLK and Lee Highway.

The city says their records show Champy’s let their beer permits lapse at the end of 2024.
