Corbo’s co-owner accuses sibling of conspiracy, stealing from famed bakery

CLEVELAND, Ohio — An owner of Corbo’s Bakery is accusing her co-owners of a conspiracy to steal from the company, push her out and withhold money she’s owed.

On Tuesday, co-owner Valerie Corbo filed a lawsuit in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas detailing her allegations against her brother Joseph Corbo and her sister-in-law Selena Corbo.

The defendants “conspired amongst themselves and others to hide transfers of corporate assets, improperly pay themselves salaries” and take “distributions of other corporate assets including cash…to preclude Plaintiff from her equitable share of earnings and profits,” the complaint argues…
