‘Gunfire everywhere.’ 3 injured in Miami-Dade shooting, sheriff’s office says

Three people were rushed to the hospital Thursday afternoon, two with serious injuries, after “gunfire everywhere” erupted in a residential area of the Gladeview neighborhood, deputies say.

A man, who was not identified by authorities, was detained in connection with the shooting, but it’s unclear whether he was the shooter, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Det. Argemis Colome said during a press conference. It’s also unclear what role the three injured played in the shooting. “They could all be victims,” he told the Miami Herald. “They could all be suspects.” Around 2:10 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report gunshots in the area of Northwest 75th Street and 21st Avenue, he said.

Worried residents told dispatchers they saw a man with a gun walking around and knocking on at least one door, according to dispatch audio on Broadcastify.com. Deputies found three people shot, one possibly in the leg and another in the back…
