From 150 locations to basically one
Hot ‘n Now started in Kalamazoo, Michigan, back in 1984. At its peak, it had more than 150 locations across 15 states. The concept was simple: it was just a drive-thru with fast service and ridiculously cheap burgers.
It worked. Until it didn’t. By the early 2000s, locations started shutting down fast. Ownership changes didn’t help, and by 2016, there was literally just one location left standing in Sturgis, Michigan…
