Madison County bus driver hailed for quick response when vehicle hit building

A Madison County bus driver was found “not at fault” after an accident occurred while two students were on the bus.

Bus driver John T. Darwin Jr., 79, was driving with a bus aide and two students in a mini-bus after class when he was hit by a black Lexus SUV driven by Linda M. Toney, 60, on Pauline Drive in Hazel Green, according to Alabama State Troopers.
