Gilmore Car Museum reopens after fallen trees, flooding and power outage

HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. — The Gilmore Car Museum reopened Thursday morning after severe weather caused down trees, minor flooding, and a power outage.

The museum posted on social media Wednesday that they would be closed on Wednesday due to a power outage, followed by another social media post depicting several uprooted trees.

An original structure from the 1960’s, now used as a storage barn, was “severely damaged” by a fallen tree. Additionally, a motorcycle building that was set to open at the museum soon was hit, but not severely damaged.

“Luckily, no piercing of the roof, so nothing got wet inside of the building,” Executive Director Nick LaCasse said…
