Tennessee voting form includes new text about party affiliation

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — While Tennessee does not register voters by party, Tennesseans are seeing some changes in the form they have to fill out before voting.

Voters in Tennessee primaries must be bona fide or intend to be bona fide members of a specific party, according to state law. In the May 5 primaries, that question will still be asked, but voters will instead have to sign this intent on the application before voting.
