State elections board to remove noncitizens from voter rolls

RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – The State Board of Elections says it will begin removing non-U.S. citizens from its registered voter lists.

A process that must be followed before a voter is removed was approved during a board meeting today.

The state board will use the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database to find voters’ names, birthdates, and last four Social Security digits…
