Greece, N.Y. — A man faces charges after police said he stole checks from a mailbox along Latta Road.
The Greece Police Department said detectives have been “investigating a pattern involving stolen and altered (“washed”) checks” from the mailbox since early March. The checks were then cashed at various locations in Monroe, Ontario and Orleans counties.
