SYRACUSE, N.Y. — As the forecast was calling for several days out, Thursday was a very active weather day including an official high of 83 degrees at the Syracuse Hancock airport which was the hottest day of 2026 so far.
It hasn’t been that hot in Syracuse since October 6th, when we hit 84 degrees which was 192 days ago!
Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings occurred across Cayuga, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, and Wayne Counties between 5 PM and 8:30 PM.
While the warnings affected many areas, only a few reports of storm damage have come into our weather office so far…
