Police arrest second suspect in connection to Lubbock shooting
Public records showed Liendo was arrested in the 7200 block of Avenue S. He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Driving While Intoxicated with an open container.
Court records obtained by EverythingLubbock.com stated a Trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety saw a white vehicle driving abnormally slow. Court records said the Trooper got behind the car and watched it drift from one side of the lane before jerking back to the center. Court documents said this happened several times. After the car cut off another vehicle, the trooper initiated a traffic stop.
Court documents said the Trooper noticed a strong smell of cologne “as if to mask a scent.” The Trooper told Liendo to exit the car, court records said, at which point he reached under his passenger seat, grabbed a black handgun and pulled it up. Court records said the Trooper yelled at Liendo to drop the gun, and he did. After a field sobriety test, court records said the Trooper determined Liendo was intoxicated while driving and in possession of a firearm.
Liendo has since posted bond, according to jail records…
