Two incidents in 48 hours highlight volatility Omaha law enforcement faces on duty

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Law enforcement in Douglas County responded to two violent incidents this week, including a deputy shot during a domestic call and officers confronting a woman with a knife outside a Walmart.

Every day, Omaha officers leave for a shift not knowing what they’ll face, according to Omaha Police Officers Association President Patrick Dempsey.
