DENVER (KDVR) — Only one person in the country won $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, and that ticket was purchased right here in Colorado.
One lucky winner bought a Powerball ticket at Loaf ‘n Jug at 102 N. Rubey Dr. in Golden, and they walked away with the winning numbers. The player, who still hasn’t claimed their ticket, matched all five numbers, except the Powerball, according to the Colorado Lottery.

The way the Powerball works is players choose five numbers out of 69 and one out of 26. The more numbers people match, the more they win.
