A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Thursday at 9:03 p.m. for dense fog until 11 p.m. for Niagara, Erie and Chautauqua counties.
“Local surface observations and webcams are showing areas of fog near Lake Erie and the Niagara River this evening, this includes the Downtown Buffalo area and Niagara Falls. Some of this fog will become locally dense, with visibilities down to a quarter of a mile at times.
