Ex-comptroller charged with stealing $745,000 from Erie County company

The former comptroller of a plastics manufacturing company in McKean has been indicted on federal charges that he embezzled nearly three quarters of a million dollars from the locally owned business.

The defendant, Cameron D. Updyke, 30, is accused of stealing $744,912.74 from Tri-Tech Injection Molding Inc., 8556 Edinboro Road, over a year, according to the indictment, returned on April 14 and filed on April 15 in U.S. District Court in Erie.
