Murfreesboro working to connect historic square to MTSU

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The City of Murfreesboro is working to make its historic square and Middle Tennessee State University feel more connected.

City engineers are focusing on a stretch along Lytle Street between Church Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard while also noting there are multiple issues that need to be addressed.

The main issues are sidewalk gaps, non-compliant ramps, limited ADA transit stops, and storm drain conflicts, among others, per city officials.
