LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – For the first time, a consistent weekly farmers market is set to open Saturday, April 18, at Breckenridge Village. Located in the parking lot between The Root Cafe and Film Alley, the West Little Rock Farmers Market will be open from 8 am to noon.
Jack Sundell, the owner of The Root Cafe and an advisor for the farmers market, said a farmers’ market in West Little Rock is in high demand.
“I think over half of Little Rock’s population lives west of University, and yet, there’s no regular, consistent, food-focused market happening west of University. Last summer, we did a survey in the surrounding neighborhoods, and we had over 750 people respond to the survey. Over 90 percent of those said they would attend a market like this either weekly or multiple times a month,” said Sundell…
