Wichita Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita church is asking for help after a wave of theft and vandalism left it without air conditioning and facing thousands of dollars in repairs.
Leaders at New Life Church said the crime happened sometime last week.
Out of 20 air conditioning units on the property at 11th and North Oliver streets, they said five were stolen and 11 were damaged. The vandals smashed many of the units and cut copper piping, which appeared to be the main target.
