Man sentenced for NE Wichita murder after father’s guilty plea in 2024

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A man was sentenced Thursday for his part in the shooting death of a 20-year-old in northeast Wichita in 2024.

Tyree Jackson Jr. was sentenced to 442 months — the equivalent of nearly 37 years — in prison, along with 36 months of post-release supervision.

The shooting happened on March 21, 2024 near 21st and Grove. Jaden Wilson was found with gunshot wounds and died later at the hospital. Police said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute…
