Potter County grand jury indicts man on firearm charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A Potter County grand jury has indicted a man on multiple firearm-related charges.

According to court documents, 33-year-old Tavarus Tywayne Drone was indicted on one count of “Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon,” one count of “Deadly Conduct Discharging a Firearm,” and one count of Unlawful “Carrying of a Weapon with a Felony Conviction.”

Amarillo teen arrested for multiple sex crimes against children

Documents note Drone allegedly threatened someone with a gun and fired the weapon into an occupied building. The charges against Drone come after an alleged incident that occurred in August 2025.
