The National Weather Service is urging people to be extra cautious with fire on Saturday. A Red Flag Warning has been issued from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. for counties just north and west of Lincoln. Forecasters say fires may start easily and spread quickly.
Northwesterly winds at 15-25 will gust to 25-35 mph, relative humidity will be 18-20 percent and high temperatures will be between 50-60 degrees. People are urged to avoid open burning and minimize any potential ignition sources.
