Shower chance possible this weekend as temps shift in Charlotte region

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Dry and warm conditions will continue Friday evening — so your evening plans should be in great shape.

A Code Orange air quality alert was in place until 8 p.m. on Friday for Mecklenburg and Union counties, however. This is because ozone concentrations will be elevated, which could affect people who are sensitive to that.

Otherwise, conditions responsible for this week’s heat wave will shift this weekend — but not before a warm Saturday.

Weekend to start warm, then cool down

Saturday will start in the low to mid-60s. High temperatures will reach around the 90-degree mark by the afternoon.

Expect breezy conditions throughout the day on Saturday…
