NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — “What were you wearing?” is often a question many survivors or victims get asked when they go to report a sexual assault.
The Tri-County S.P.E.A.K.S. Sexual Assault Center held a presentation and exhibit for advocates and employees in the sexual assault advocacy group industry across the Lowcountry. The exhibit, curated by Mary Simmerling, Ph.D., fights against victim-blaming, giving a voice to sexual assault survivors.
