Bellevue Kroger temporarily closes after power outage forces store to discard perishables

BELLEVUE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Kroger store off Highway 100 remained closed Friday after losing power for more than 14 hours following Thursday night’s storms.

Employees spent the day turning people away at the door while others cleared out perishable items. The store’s parking lot sat nearly empty on Friday around 5 p.m., a time when it is typically busy.

The store is working to restock and plans to reopen on Saturday…
