Retired K-9 officers up for adoption after owner’s sudden death

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two retired K-9s that spent years responding to some of Middle Tennessee’s most difficult emergencies are now in need of help themselves.

Ziva and Abby, 13-year-old Dutch shepherds, are looking for a permanent home together after their owner died suddenly in February.

The dogs previously worked alongside Metro Office of Emergency Management and the Nashville Fire Department, assisting in search and recovery efforts across the region.
