Three vehicles were involved in a crash on West Main Street on Thursday night, prompting the Hopkinton Fire Department to extricate passengers from two cars, according to local emergency personnel.
The incident occurred at 8:24 p.m., according to the police log released Friday morning. Four officers responded to a call reporting a multi-car accident with entrapment. Damage to the guard rail on eastbound side was noted.
“The vehicles involved in the accident on West Main Street were a Toyota RAV4, a Ford Ranger, and a Toyota Avalon,” stated HPD Lt. Aaron O’Neil in an email to the Independent on Friday afternoon. “The operator of the RAV4 was charged with a marked lanes violation, unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, and reckless operation. The crash occurred when the operator of the RAV4 attempted to pass another vehicle.”…
