BELTON, Mo. (KCTV) – Belton residents woke up Saturday to significant storm damage after Friday night’s tornado tore through the area.
Shingles were torn away, debris was scattered across yards and crews moved house to house. Roofers say the calls started pouring in as soon as the storms cleared.
Justin Fross with JR&Co Roofing had seven roofers out Saturday morning assessing damage.
“Wind is a very powerful thing. It’s something you don’t think is going to happen to you and then all of a sudden it does,” Fross said. “You have to take every opportunity to enjoy life because as quick as that it’s going to be gone.”
