BAKER, La. (WAFB/Gray News) – Six children were found alone in a home with conditions the police chief described as “deplorable.”

“The neighbor was concerned because one of the children had run outside, unattended and unsupervised. And so, upon us arriving at the house, the children were sitting inside,” Baker Police Chief Carl Dunn said.
Photos show rat droppings throughout the home, moldy and spoiled food, no working bathroom, soiled mattresses and an empty fridge…
