First Alert Forecast l Breezy and much cooler in Augusta Sunday, no drought relief anytime soon

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Burn Ban Alert: All South Carolina counties in the CSRA are under a burn ban beginning today. Do not burn yard debris or have outdoor fires. Very dry fuel on the ground combined with relative humidity below 30% the next few afternoons means fires will be able to spread quickly.

Cooler days ahead to start the new week

A cold front will push through midday Sunday, putting an end to the record breaking warmth. Highs will drop from near 90 Saturday to the middle 70s Sunday. Rain will be scarce with this front, but there is a 20 percent chance of a brief sprinkle along the front between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday. It will be a rather breezy day with northwest winds 12-17 mph with 20 to 25 mph gusts.

Upcoming Week
