(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Power has now been restored to nearly all customers impacted by a large outage that unfolded Sunday in northeast Charlotte, according to Duke Energy.
The outage began earlier on April 19, when around 28,000 customers lost electricity across a wide stretch of the city, including the University City area near Interstate 85 and extending toward Prosperity Church Road near Interstate 485.
