NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) — A 23-year-old man is being held under maximum security in Nashville after he allegedly hit an innocent 63-year-old bystander with an SUV while attempting to elude a U.S. marshal.
The pursuit happened Friday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m. An arrest affidavit states that members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force tracked 23-year-old Jamaryon Gibson to a gas station along Dickerson Pike. They spotted him there filling up a Hertz rental car with a Missouri license plate.
Gibson had a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly violated the terms of his federal supervised release. According to the affidavit, the 23-year-old’s federal probation was related to a weapons conviction out of Michigan.
