LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (CBS12) — Rabies has been confirmed in the Arden community of Loxahatchee after a bat hiding inside a shoe bit a resident.
Animal Care and Control says the incident happened near the 600 block of Hookline Circle. The bat later tested positive for rabies on Saturday.
The victim reported the bite and is now undergoing treatment, per reports.
