Two Early Morning Fires Break Out in Ensley, One Person Escapes House Blaze

We’re following breaking news out of Birmingham this morning, where firefighters are dealing with not one—but two fires in the Ensley area.

The first fire happened at a home on 22nd Street. Crews were called out around 3:30 a.m. According to Birmingham Fire and Rescue, one person was trapped inside—but managed to get out safely before firefighters arrived.

When crews got there, they found fire and smoke concentrated near the front of the house. They were able to get the situation under control. So far, there’s no word on what caused the fire…
