(FOX40.COM) — A domestic violence suspect is in custody following a several-hours-long standoff in Sacramento.
Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 3800 block of Franklin Boulevard about reports of a domestic violence incident. The SPD said the victim has non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering.
SPD said the suspect was believed to be armed when he barricaded himself inside a home on Franklin Boulevard.
The SWAT team and crisis negotiators were on scene for about seven and a half hours trying to get the suspect to surrender.
