Officials on Monday identified the man killed in a Thursday hit-and-run in East Oakland as police continued their search for the driver.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau identified the victim as 39-year-old Ambrose Hicks of Oakland. He was struck by a vehicle at about 5:55 p.m. at the intersection of East 12th Street and 22nd Avenue while walking in the crosswalk, police said.
Hicks was taken to a hospital for treatment, but later died of his injuries…
