Teen charged in Shelby Farms skip day shooting deemed danger to community, will remain in custody

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 16-year-old charged in the death of a 17-year-old who was fatally shot at Shelby Farms last week will remain in custody, a judge decided Monday.

The teen’s alleged actions have been deemed a risk to the community, according to the judge.

The teen’s name will not be released because of his age, but that could change if the D.A.’s office decides to charge him as an adult.
