Fairport man runs in 130th Boston Marathon, raising awareness for autism

FAIRPORT, N.Y. — Fairport native Nick Ferri ran the 130th Boston Marathon, and he did it with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. His run aimed to spread the foundation’s mission to help people and families with autism. Tens of thousands of people ran the marathon this morning.

Ferri finished in 2:51:13, averaging 6:32 minutes per mile.

“It’s my dream to run the Boston Marathon and show others in the community that we are all unstoppable,” says Ferri. “I’m excited to run with Dougie’s Team to get to know new people and hopefully get a new PR.”…
